Trauma-informed counselling

A secure, compassionate space for the work of healing.

I’m Sue—a counsellor and Somatic Experiencing® practitioner working with people who carry the imprint of trauma and stress in their nervous system. The methods I engage are slow, embodied and bring real, lasting change.

Together, your nervous system can achieve greater regulation—reducing tension and helping you manage stress more effectively.

  • ii.

In their words

From people I’ve had the privilege to work with.

Felt as if time slowed down

During sessions with Sue I feel very safe to be exactly as I am. I feel held with loving compassion whilst I explore vulnerable feelings & reactions. The stillness & gentleness present is palpable. Sue has the skill & expertise to guide me through challenging emotional experience into deeper reconnecting with safety, inner innocence & balance.

Helpful and nourishing

My sessions with Sue have always been wonderful and extremely helpful and nourishing. Sue is relaxed, grounded and so experienced that I feel she always guides me in the ways I need. My sessions calm my nervous system and teach me how I can regulate myself between sessions. I highly recommend Sue as a therapist.

Changed my life

After just one session, I felt like I finally found a way to effectively deal with the traumas I’ve been struggling with all of my life. I’ve seen different therapists over the years, but none has ever been able to help with my traumas as they returned over and over again. After a few sessions with Sue I feel I am capable of making free decisions without being guided by my fear of being abandoned. This has changed my life.
